Still A Supermodel
Gemma Ward was once a very successful model with million dollar campaigns for Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Dior under her belt and an impressive American Vogue cover at the age of 16.
But when she began gaining weight following the death of her friend, Heath Ledger in January 2008, she announced that she planned to take a year off to go trekking in Nepal and spend time with friends and family.
An anonymous source offered: "Gemma's torn. In the last few years (her weight gain) was very much her f--k you to the industry. She's rebelling by putting on 30 or 40 pounds, so now going back isn't a straightforward option."
To me, Gemma is hardly close to being fat and she’s certainly still beautiful. All this stuff about her getting fat makes me want to punch someone in the neck.
Makes me think of what casting agent, James Scully, said about young model, Karlie Kloss, at a panel discussion held by the CFDA just before fashion week on February 9, 2010 at Milk Studios: "We all love her today, but when she grows breasts and she turns 18, are we all going to turn on her?"

LOVE magazine’s theme for its third issue celebrates 8 top models...Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Lara Stone, Amber Valletta, Natalia Vodianova, Daria Werbowy, Jeneil Williams and Kristen McMenamy, who bare it all for their respective covers shot by photography duo, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.
As LOVE Editor, Katie Grand, explained to Vogue:
…"We took eight women who are generally acknowledged as the most beautiful in the world, got them to show off their bodies —widely regarded as the most perfect in the world — and photographed them all in exactly the same position for the cover. We did this to show how much they differed physically from one another, which is why we also printed their measurements…"

Undeniably McQueen
In the following clip, the talented McQueen delivers a stunning presentation called "The Bridegroom Stripped Bare", where he turns a groom wearing a suit by Yohji Yamamoto, shirt by Jean Paul Gaultier and tie by Hugo Boss, into a bride using a length of string, a bundle of ivory fabric, two wooden blocks and paintbrushes.
This is just one remarkable example of his work.
A genius who will forever be missed.
