It's On With Alexa Chung

Here’s a preview of former model now MTV talk show host, Alexa Chung in V Magazine’s issue #62 hitting newsstands November 3rd.

The 'Let’s Talk About Alexa Chung' spread was photographed by Sharif Hamza and styled by Catherine Newell-Hanson.

In the issue, she talks about her daily grind and her move from the UK to NYC to save MTV. Her show, 'It’s On with Alexa Chung' took over the coveted TRL spot this summer.

Some snippets of her interview with Derek Blasberg:

On whether she will return to the UK once her MTV gig is over: 'I don’t know. I went to a wedding last weekend [in England] and when I got back here I was quite relieved to be home in New York. Whoa, I guess that’s the first time I actually said that and meant it "Home In New York.'

On making new friends: 'I don’t really have any friends in America. Well, I have some friends. ….. I just don’t tolerate douche bags. You get them in England too, those people who just sort of hang out and hold coats or something. But there’s more of them here.'

On her new apartment: 'I think my apartment is too shiny. I just found out that (Vampire Diaries‘ Ian Somerhalder) used to live in it. And the other day when I was in the laundry room, I heard that Michael Douglas’ son is looking to move into the building.'

Beware: Model Unleashed

Model, Natasa Vojnovic, in a photo shoot shot by Terry Richardson in Diane Von Furstenberg’s meatpacking-district headquarters for Purple Fashion magazine #11.

Known for her very, well, distinct modeling style (screaming, spinning, crawling), Natasa remains serious and fierce the entire time.

What an artist!

Haute Desperation

Purple Magazine is no stranger to bit of a shocker like nudity on their covers, but rarely do you see a man on his knees like this.

The issue is from fall/winter 2008 with famed photographer, Mario Sorrenti and ex-girlfriend Kate Moss.

I love this cover so much for the following reasons:
1. Moss is wearing Balmain
2. Mario Sorrenti is naked
3. You can’t see Moss’ face

Portrait of a Porn King?

Following my last post regarding the oh-so beautiful Mario Sorrenti in the Autoportraits editorial, also featured in the same editorial was the king of sleaze and bad boy photographer, Terry Richardson who shot and co-starred in it alongside model, Anna Selezneva.

If you can try and focus only on the watches for a moment, the Rolex Daytona is definitely worth a good look (last photograph).

Portrait of a Lady?

Italian photographer, Mario Sorrenti, starred in the editorial entitled Autoportraits for Vogue Hommes International Spring/Summer 09 issue.

He is daring, interesting and drop-dead beautiful.

Karl & The Clog

In 1952, we saw the invention of the stiletto heel which was first seen on the DIOR runway. That same year, we also saw the first Hermes bag (known as the Grace Kelly bag) being carried around. Now, we are about to witness something extraordinary....the rebirth of The Clog. The last time the clog had any degree of notoriety was in 1965. It was amusing, it was unusual, but it certainly wasn’t chic.

Karl Lagerfield, head designer and creative director for the fabulous fashion house, Chanel, showcased an array of chic clogs at his spring 2010 runway show on October 6, 2009 in Paris. They were sweet, wholesome, and practical. I'd give my right arm for the black studded pair.

Whether you love or loathe this trend, these Dutchy chunky woody heels are making a wild comeback so don’t be too surprised if you start seeing your friends and myself clip-clopping around the city in them.

Even the most fashion forward stars like Mary-Katy and Ashley Olsen have been rocking The Clog as far back as 2008.

Sonia Rykiel for H&M

Before we can even wrap our heads around the fabulousness that is the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection dropping November 14, 2009, we have more mind-blowing fashion news: "Queen of Knits" Sonia Rykiel will be the next guest designer to collaborate with H&M launching knitwear, lingerie and accessories for not one, but two high street collaborations – Winter 2009 and Spring 2010.

The holiday collection will be launched on December 5, 2009 and will feature a lingerie collection with accessories for women - a first for H&M. At the same time, Rykiel will make this lingerie collection available in Sonia Rykiel’s major boutiques around the world - yet another first for H&M.

The second collaboration for spring 2010 will be launched on February 20, 2010 and features an iconic knitwear collection for women and girls with playful accessories.

"It is a hallmark of Sonia Rykiel to think of all women because fashion is about a certain spirit more than a question of means. This collaboration fits perfectly with our philosophy. The Sonia Rykiel pour H&M lingerie collection is the ideal way to offer the essence of Rykiel to a great number of women around the world, and a beautiful way to close the year. The knitwear collection is perfect for welcoming a colourful new season," says Nathalie Rykiel, president and artistic director of Sonia Rykiel.

Stop and Stare.

Here we have Natasha Poly, Lara Stone and MariaCarla Boscono in one of the hottest photographs ever shot by Luigi Mureno for A Magazine’s November 2008 issue.

This photograph is outstanding but as always, Natasha Poly (middle photograph) takes the cake.

Vintage Love

Johnny Depp with then girlfriend, Kate Moss in a photograph shot by Annie Leibovitz at New York City’s Royalton Hotel in 1994.

I love how Depp is so at peace in this photograph. You can see his devotion and mad love for Kate. It was simply too beautiful to last.

Da Da Dree Da Da Dum

My girl crush of the moment: Dree Hemingway.

Daughter of actress, Mariel Hemingway and great-granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, this waifish beauty has excellent personal style.

Her cool style, love for great shoes and healthy long locks, has made her number 1 in my books.

She's also an avid http://jakandjil.com follower. You can't get any cooler than that!

Trend WATCH.

Because you really, really, really need to know what time it is.

A Lazy Day Indoors Has Never Looked So Sexy

By looking at the cover of Numéro Korea's July 2009 issue with vixen, Maryna Linchuk on the cover, I can imagine that it doesn’t do much for you, but inside Maryna Linchuk is steamier than ever as she performs a slow striptease for the camera, flaunting sexy separates along the way.

Those mile-high lace-up boots...flippin' fabulous!
That fur coat...absolutely stunning!
The handbag...just kill me already I want it all!
