It doesn’t surprise me that the first celeb to sport a pair of Alexander McQueen's crazy Spring/Summer 2010 shoes (otherwise known as the armadillos, crabs' claws or goats' feet by some sections of the press) is Lady Gaga.The always-dramatic Gaga dons a sequined pair of the 12 inch heels in the music video for her new single, Bad Romance, which by the way is AHHHHHHMAZING!

But it was heiress, muse, and couture collector, Daphne Guinness, who was brave enough to wear the shoes for the first time in public and on a red carpet for NARs' 15th anniversary party in New York City on November 12, 2009.
Of course, Daphne took it to the next level and committed to the whole space-age ensemble even though the shoes would have made a major statement on their own. Still, kudos to her for being such a fabulous fashion plate.
FYI: These heels aren't actually for sale, although that doesn't mean there aren't women willing to buy them. Apparently the company has been flooded with calls requesting these crazy shoes, which McQueen hadn't planned to release for retail. There's a chance that the runway footwear will be put up for auction so if you want to snag a pair, I suggest you keep your eyes peeled and your ears open.

Now, we are about to witness something extraordinary....the rebirth of The Clog. The last time the clog had any degree of notoriety was in 1965. It was amusing, it was unusual, but it certainly wasn’t chic.
